First International Business Forum-Fashion and Textile 2011 will take place on October 14-16th, 2011 in Yerevan, Armenia.



The main purpose of the First International Business Forum "Textile and Fashion 2011 " is creation of new mechanisms and incentives for the development of textile and apparel industry both in Armenia and throughout the Caucasus region, as well as fostering effective regional economic development.

The forum will attend:


• About 40 local producers  and importers of a wide range of goods and services brands for fashion industry in Armenia;
• Potential partners from  EurAsEC countries such as Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan; as well as Turkmenistan;
• Manufacturers of textile and garment industry of the South Caucasus countries, in particular, Turkey, Georgia;
• Representatives of several European countries, international  UNIDO experts.

The event will include:

• Exhibition of Textile and Fashion goods
• B2B meetings
• Round tables on two topics: the development of the industry of fashion and the problem of modernization of the textile industry. The purpose of the roundtables will be to identify opportunities for collaboration, discussion of joint projects and initiatives, including, in particular, supply of raw materials and the possible development outsourcing.
• Master Classes
• Fashion Show
• Fair

The objectives of the Forum:

As indicated above, the Forum should promote the establishment and development of mutually beneficial international cooperation. This goal can be achieved, particularly through the implementation of targeted activities in the following areas:
• Identify the major problems hindering the development of industry and discuss ways to address them;
• Exchange of experiences on new technologies and business practices;
• Facilitate the development and maintenance of relationships with EurAsEC countries of the textile industry;
• Integration of the fashion industry of EurAsEC countries and other countries;
• Establishing dialogue through the setting up of  effective business network among fashion industry and textile production;
• Development of networks both for apparel production and delivery of technical and creative trimmings;
• Establishment of contacts with educational institutions and design studios for training and upgrading of skills of the personnel.
