Armenian Development Agency, State Committee of Science and “Technology Transfer Association” signed a cooperation agreement “Establishing an innovation center of international cooperation for commercialization the outputs of scientific researches” on July 27th, 2012.
The Agreement was signed between the general director of ADA, Mr. R. Harutyunyan, president of State Committee of Science, Mr. S. Harutyunyan and president of “Technology Transfer Association”, Mr. M. Abovyan. The President of the Committee congratulated the parties on this initiative and expressed hope, that strengthening various innovation projects of science-economy relations will contribute to the economy’s development in the Republic of Armenia, integration of the scientists into the economic sector, solution of the scientific projects’ commercialization issues.
With the signing of the agreement, the parties are committed to centralize their capabilities and establish a center, the purpose of which will be the contribution to the innovative activity in the Republic of Armenia, implementation of the scientific technical exploitations, commercialization of the scientific researches outputs, creation of new technologies and their application, enhancement of science-economy relations and cooperation development of public and private sector.
According to the agreement, State Committee of Science will support the commercialization of the scientific outputs and investments in the economy, promote innovative projects by the scientific organizations, scientific working groups.
The other parties of the agreement will organize the general process of projects expert examination submitted to the center, the expert examination of technical viability of the projects, business visits of the foreign organizations showing interest towards Armenian innovative technologies and business visits with the local corresponding organizations, provide information to the business circles about current technologies, technological solutions, innovative proposals and business projects, provide consultation on intellectual property, licensing of scientific and technical exploitations and other legal issues.
