Information Technologies Development Support Council was founded in July 20, 2001 by the decree N-896 of the President of the Republic of Armenia. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia was appointed chief of the Council.

 

The Secretariat of ITDSC was founded by the Decree N-112 of the RA Prime Minister and was moved to Armenian Development Agency on March 05, 2002. The Secretariat is responsible for coordination of the activities of the Council.

 

The main goals of the Council are to involve Armenia in the intellectual production of World Economy activities, establish a strong and viable IT area securing the economic improvement of the conditions of the people’s welfare, and to establish a highly developed Armenian information society.

 

The mission of the Council is to act as a bridge between the RA Government, private and public sectors. The Council serves as a link between the Diaspora and Armenia, providing operational assistance to participants of that dialogue.
