"Outcomes and perspectives: in search of new trends for cooperation" business forum

 

Business Forum entitled “Outcomes and perspectives: in search of new trends for cooperation” took place in Yerevan dedicated to the 5th anniversary of St. Petersburg information business center. The delegation was headed by the first deputy of president of foreign relations committee, Mr. Andrey Petruk.

Armenian and Russian businessmen, economists and representatives of business sectors from St. Petersburg and Yerevan were participating at the forum.

The trade turnover between Yerevan and St. Petersburg in 2011 was 14mln USD, however according to the assessment of the presenters the current capabilities are much wider. The Population of St. Petersburg makes Europe’s 4th largest city. It was noted that out of 5 mln permanent residents, about 50,000 are Armenians and most of them are involved in businesses.

According to the both sides, bigger perspectives open up in trade economic, educational tourism, culture and other sectors to develop the cooperation. The Project manager of Armenian Development Agency, Mr. Aram Vardanyan presented Armenia’s economy, investment climate, as well as the investment opportunities. Some presentations took place on investment opportunities during the business forum.
